What is Moodle?

Moodle is a course management system (CMS) - a free, Open Source software package designed using sound pedagogical principles, to help educators create effective online learning communities. The main Moodle site is at http://moodle.org. That site has not only the downloadable applications (Moodle runs in Linux, PC, Mac and other servers), but it is a portal to the worldwide Moodle community.
